The male part of HulyaiHorod created this song project. It is about the polyphony of Ukrainian so called “crimson wedge” region – the territories of compact settlement of the Chernomortsy – direct descendants of Cossacks who moved to Kuban in the late 18th century. The culture of Chornomortsy has specific Ukrainian roots. Language and music component of the songs included in the project are the evidence of this fact. They were collected by real old inhabitants of the Black Sea villages in a period from the 1980th up to now.
